| RUN3rd Family, RUN3rd Alliance strives to empower youth through after-school running programs that champion students to discover their grit, build meaningful relationships, and inspire healthy communities. The annual RUN3rd 5k is our culminating event for the students in our running programs, something we all look forward to the entire season. It’s our opportunity to celebrate the hard work our students have put in as they reach their goals. It’s also our chance to connect with the community and share the message of #RUN3rd. |
| With that in mind, we feel strongly that we need to do our part to keep our students, families and communities healthy and safe. To do so, we have decided we need to postpone our 6th Annual RUN3rd 5k. Our 5k in Mesa, Arizona will move to Saturday, May 30, 2020. There will be no changes to our Virtual 5k. Thanks to the support of our sponsors and the #RUN3rd community, we are confident we will be able to provide an unforgettable celebration for our students, and a fun family-friendly event for our community, once we know it is safe to do so. We greatly appreciate your patience and support as we all navigate this unprecedented situation. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow CDC recommendations and guidelines. We will update you as we have more information and invite you to reach out if you have questions, comments or concerns. Now what? The Arizona 6th Annual RUN3rd 5k will be held at Mesa Red Mountain High School on Saturday, May 30, 2020 and will start at 7:00 am. The RUN3rd 5k Arkansas will be held at Cooper Elementary on Friday, September 18, 2020 and will start at 5:30pm. If you are registered for one of the onsite RUN3rd 5ks, we hope you are able to join us on the new date. If you are able to join us, you do not need to do anything. Your registration has already been adjusted to the new date. If you are unable to join us on the new date, we offer the following options at no additional cost. Please let us know by email admin@run3rd5k.com if you would like to take advantage of another option, by April 30th: **If your child is part of a RUN3rd Running Club at their school, please notify their coach of your decision 1. Transfer to the Virtual RUN3rd 5k. We will mail your shirt, medal, and race bib to you. 2. Donate your registration to a child that needs a scholarship to participate in the RUN3rd 5k. We will email you a tax donation form and donate your medal, bib, and shirt to the child. 3. Defer your Arizona race entry to the 2021 RUN3rd 5k. Volunteers, if you are still available to volunteer on the new date, no action is needed. If you can no longer volunteer, please login to EnMotive and cancel your registration or email admin@run3rd5k.com. The Virtual 5k has not changed and no action is needed if you still plan to join us virtually. We will begin mailing packages by April 1st. |
